Potassium is a major nutrient element for plants in all stages of plant growth which helps during initial plant growth to give plants ability to resist stress from draught, frost, extreme temperature and also pets & diseases. Plants take up more potassium during reproductive stages such as flowering & fruiting. It enhances colour, size and quantity of flowers and fruits. Hence an adequate supply of Potassium rich fertiliser is essential during these stages for all flowering and fruiting plants.

Potassium Deficiency likes to occur in sandy soils, organic rich soils and also highly acidic soils. Common deficiency symptoms include scorched margins, browning of leaf edges, poor flowering and fruiting.
